Having had so many English high teas in Singapore, it would be silly not to try it when we are in England! So off we went to the Wolseley which is housed in a Glade II Listed building known for its rich history.

Indeed, both the exterior and interior design of the building had left a deep impression in me. Felt like being transported back in time upon entering the restaurant! There was a doorman standing by the main entrance, waiters were dressed in formal black suits, tables were laid with traditional tea sets and, of course, not forgetting the classic 3-tier serving tray filled with scones, finger sandwiches and dainty little pastries!

We enjoyed the scones with clotted cream and most of the sandwiches and pastries (there were a few misses). Tea was very good too (we had the Wolseley Afternoon Blend)! Afterall, it was a good experience and a good start to more tea sessions!
