The famous Bayswater roast duck which every Singaporean who had been to London would know. Well, actually... the famous one is at Four Seasons Restaurant... but rumour has it that the chef had left Four Seasons and opened Gold Mine (which is only a few stores away on the same street). Fact or fiction aside, most of my Singaporean / Malaysian friends are in agreement that the duck at Gold Mine is better!

Caution to roast duck lovers: You probably would not like the roast duck in Singapore after you've tried this (from Joel's first-hand experience, ha!). Even if you are not a fan of roast duck, you should still give this a try as you might be a new convert (like me)! Bigger and fatter ducks with succulent breast meat and a really nice sweet dark sauce. A friend of mine actually likes the sauce so much that he would be contented with a bowl of plain rice and the sauce, haha.

This picture does not do enough justice to the duck... but the long queues every weekend are a good indication of the superb quality :)
