Conned Got a big treat out of YG during my trip to Singapore last month (ha!)... well, only because he has a 50% discount card on food at the Raffles chain of restaurants for 2 diners! Our 1st choice was Equinox Restaurant, but since all the window seats were fully booked, we opted for Jaan next (as they said they could get us the window seats).
However, we were disappointed when we got there as all the window seats were taken up too. We weren't in the mood to kick up a big fuss so we let it go. Well, I was kicking myself for not sticking to the original choice as the view at Equinox is much better even if you aren't sitting by the windows. In any case, I will definitelyforce request YG to bring me to Equinox on my next trip home. (Must make use of the 50% discount while it lasts right?!)
My starter for the night. Foie gras pate sandwiched between crunchy layers (crackers?), with foie gras mousse on the side. Yummy!

YG's starter: cream of truffles soup with popcorn (interesting combination). Just look at the size of the truffles!
Our main course: Roast lamb! Can't recall what's on the side but the meat was really succulent and tender. (Stick to the chef's recommendation for medium rare!)
